Maureen Slocum

As CEO and Founder of Zoomba Group, Maureen Slocum publishes Foodservice Equipment & Supplies (FE&S) and restaurant development + design (rd+d) as well as related websites, webcasts, apps and e-newsletters.

Before founding Zoomba Group in 2009, she was vice president of business publisher Zweig-White’s Media Division, where she managed brand development, web site traffic growth and advertising revenue for CE News magazine, Structural Engineer magazine, the AECWorkforce.com job board and various conferences and events. From 1999 to 2007 she served Reed Business Information as publisher for the company’s hospitality and foodservice publications, including FE&S. Maureen also has extensive experience in foodservice distribution sales, and during that time, she was selected as ID magazine’s DSR of the Year.

In 2014 Maureen was honored with a Top Women in Media Award—Entrepreneur by Folio Magazine.

 

Joe Carbonara

Joe Carbonara is editorial director for Foodservice Equipment & Supplies and restaurant development + design. In addition to his editorial efforts, Joe often represents both magazines at restaurant and foodservice industry events and was awarded with CFESA’s Outstanding Support from an Allied Association/Press Partner in 2013. Prior to becoming Editor in Chief for FE&S in 2004, Joe was a marketing manager for SmithBucklin Corp., where he spent six years working with NAFEM. You can follow Joe on Twitter @FES_Editor.

 

Rebecca Kilbreath

Rebecca Kilbreath serves as editor in chief for restaurant development + design magazine, having been promoted from managing editor for both rd+d and Foodservice Equipment & Supplies in 2016. Additionally, she spearheads editorial web content and social media for Zoomba Group. Prior to joining Zoomba Group full time in 2013, Rebecca’s work history included writing and editing for trade magazines, winning awards for social media management and execution, and editing fiction and nonfiction books. She has a BA in Film Studies from Wayne State University and an MLIS with a certificate in Knowledge Management from Dominican University.  


BG Burg

BG Burg, east coast sales director, brings more than two decades of experience in B2B publishing and integrated media sales with VNU, Ideal Media, CSP, and Stagnito Media. With nearly 15 years concentrated in the foodservice industry, BG understands her customer’s needs and develops innovative and integrated marketing solutions that enable them to get their message out through various touchpoints. BG has a business degree from Michigan State University.

 

Kris Duvall

Kris Duvall is the south and west region director of sales for all magazine and electronic media sales. She seamlessly transitioned from a similar sales role with Reed Business Information’s Hospitality Group and therefore has a deep understanding of our readers’ advertising and marketing needs. Zoomba’s advertisers benefit greatly from her more than 30 years of experience in business publishing and ad sales. Kris earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Northwestern University in journalism and advertising.

 

Anne LoCascio

As our award-winning director of art and magazine production, Anne LoCascio brings a unique multidisciplined approach that has helped our magazines stand out. Prior to joining Zoomba Group, Anne served as an art director with Reed Business Information’s hospitality group. She thrives in the fast-paced publishing world, consistently meeting deadlines while turning out work that keeps our advertisers coming back for more. Anne has a BFA in graphic design and an MA in studio art.

 

Carol McAdam

As senior sales director, Carol McAdam uses her nearly 30 years of experience in B2B publishing and integrated marketing to craft solutions that deliver results for advertisers. Her consultative approach focuses on an advertiser’s particular needs in the marketplace and often leads to the crafting of custom solutions for advertisers. With a background that includes custom publishing and business development she is charged with new product development and creation of new strategic partnerships for Zoomba Group. Carol earned a BA from DePauw University and an MBA from Dominican University.

 

Tracy Mugan

Operations manager Tracy Mugan has managed finance departments for more than 20 years, including 13 years for Reed Business Information. Her last eight years at Reed were spent serving the publisher’s Foodservice and Hospitality Group, where she worked until she moved to Zoomba Group. She earned a BA in Finance from Loras College and an MBA from Aurora University.

 

Renee Pas

Renee Pas is managing editor of Foodservice Equipment & Supplies magazine. Renee brings more than 20 years of B2B trade publishing experience, with an emphasis in convenience retail formats and foodservice. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, she’s accumulated numerous editorial awards, including the illustrious Jesse H. Neal National Business Journalism award. She has also served as president of the Chicago chapter of the American Society of Business Publication Editors.

 

Kevin Poch

As the marketing manager of Zoomba Group, Kevin Poch ensures the messaging and marketing communications of Zoomba Group brands align. Kevin brings nearly 10 years of B2B marketing experience, the past four years at Winsight Media’s convenience division—publishers of CSP and Convenience Store Products magazines. He has a BS in Marketing with a focus in Market Research from Bradley University. Kevin is an avid sports fan who’s mildly addicted to sports talk radio. He enjoys cheering on all Chicago sports teams (especially the Cubs) and hanging out with his wife and newborn son.

 

Nicholas Slocum

Nicholas Slocum is a sales rep covering Illinois and Indiana as well as Oklahoma, Louisiana, Texas and New Mexico. Nicholas focuses on the expansion and development of restaurant development + design and Foodservice Equipment & Supplies magazines. He has a degree from the University of Missouri and provides comprehensive and efficacious marketing solutions for his clients. 

 

Eric Uhl

Eric Uhl is an art and production assistant for our publications, bringing a strong background in web design and freelance photography as well as a deep knowledge of the foodservice industry. He has a BFA in graphic design from Columbia College Chicago and he designed this website.
