In March 2022, FCSI-The Americas will release a publication that showcases the high-quality work its design and MAS foodservice consultants complete for their clients. This issue will be distributed to a curated list of recipients, including architectural firms, construction management companies, retail site developers, etc. The intent of this project is to promote professional foodservice design and MAS services to these potential clients and showcase the benefits of working with FCSI consultants.
- Design consultants are invited to submit foodservice designs that combine the highest aesthetic with excellent and innovative functionality and, when possible, definitive ROI results.
- MAS consultants are invited to submit descriptions of how your unique, well-executed management advisory plans achieved and even exceeded clients’ goals. Please include definitive ROI results, when possible.
About the Selection Process
Submissions included in the FCSI Project Showcase issue will be selected by a committee of FCSI members and possibly some other foodservice industry experts.
Key criteria for the design submissions include the project’s concept and design execution, use of new technologies, application of new and existing equipment, functionality, materials, utility and energy efficiencies, and good management of the project’s budget. The committee will give special weight to how well the design meets the foodservice needs of the client and the client’s customers. Professional quality photography of the facility is required with the submission.
The committee will select MAS entries by how clearly the submission conveys what the consultant was charged to do for the client and how the consultant’s plan succeeded. MAS consultants entering the FCSI Project Showcase also will be responsible for providing professional photography/graphics that illustrate the solutions implemented. This can include facility images, floor plans, client images, photographs of documents, etc.
Any foodservice facility or MAS project designed and/or implemented by a FCSI professional or senior associate member between June 2020 and May 2021. You may only submit projects that have not been featured in other foodservice industry publications.
Foodservice facilities include:
- Banquet halls
- Central production facilities
- College and University
- Corporate dining
- Entertainment and sports venues
- Government facilities
- Healthcare – hospitals, senior living, continuing care communities and the like
- Restaurants – chain and independent operations
- School foodservice
- Transportation hubs

Submissions are limited to one entry per professional or senior associate member of FCSI. You must be a member of FCSI - The Americas Division to enter.
